What is the Mamma Cubs Program?
Mamma Cubs is a truly unique experience dedicated to mothers on their maternity leave and held at the Millets Farm Play Barn.
Find out more
Mamma Cubs is an evidence based program of 5 exercise and enrichment sessions, delivered by a highly experienced physiotherapist. During each session you will be fully supported conducting functional fitness based exercises whilst your little one enjoys enrichment sessions in our dedicated baby area ran by our professional nanny Chloe. The baby area is located in clear sight of the work-out space and provides a perfect guilt free balance of time to focus on yourself, whist your little one is kept happy too.
What is involved in the program?
This program is focused on YOU! Mother’s physical and mental health can be overlooked during maternity leave, therefore this class is designed to prioritize your physical and mental well-being during maternity leave and beyond.
As well as attending 5 exercise sessions, all our participants receive a 1:1 physiotherapy session (min 60 mins in our Harwell Campus Clinic) and a Follow-up 1:1 physiotherapy session (30 mins) that can be conducted up to 6 months after completing the program.
All participants receive a personalised exercise plan to stretch and strengthen using the physitrack app (video’s and tracking of exercises included in this easy to use system)
Each session includes fun, functional and effective exercises designed to avoid injuries mothers commonly suffer with as a result of the daily lifting stresses of motherhood.
Mamma club sessions also include visiting health professionals offering information and sign posting in their specialist field, such as a pelvic health physiotherapist, and nutritionists.
A selection of complementary refreshments are also provided
How long is each session?
Classes are 60 minutes long, so plenty of time to exercise, then relax and meet our other fabulous mums. No rushing in and out of classes!

What level are the exercises targeted at?
This class is for everyone of all different fitness levels (beginner to advanced) and the exercises can be tailored for each participant’s needs. The exercise component consists of stretching, core strengthening and global strengthening through functional fitness. There will also be Yoga and Pilates elements. An exercise program will then be emailed to participants to conduct at home. All home exercises are conducted at the participant’s own risk.
What is best not to bring?
Food containing nuts
Exercise Mats (we have these ready for you)
Older children (please contact us first if you need to bring an older child)
If you or your child has symptoms of diarrhoea or vomiting in the last 48 hrs, please do not attend the class.
Can I do the exercises at home?
Yes absolutely! At Mamma Cubs we use the innovative App Physitrack. This program enables our Mamma’s to access their exercises on multiple devises and on the go! The app is loaded with the class exercises each week, so our Mammas are able to exercise at a time that suits them, whilst having the confidence that their technique is effective from receiving support in the class and 1:1 physiotherapy sessions.
What is included in the 1:1 physiotherapy sessions?
The 1:1 physiotherapy sessions are led by our experienced physiotherapist. Our Mamma’s discuss their health and wellbeing journey to date and especially since having their baby. We discuss future health goals and investigate any joint of muscles pain they may be experiencing. Our physiotherapist can then look at your global range of movement and strength. The 1:1 appointments are a safe space dedicated to our Mamma’s wellbeing and enables our team to get to know our class members as individuals. Following the 1:1 appointment, we are able to target individual and class-based exercise to our Mamma’s specific needs. We also take time making sure you are happy conducting functional exercises such as squats and lunges. Following the program, our Mamma’s book a follow-up 1:1 appointment to re-evaluate their goals and receive a progressed exercise program.
