Katie our expert physiotherapist has a special interest in clinic Barre for and uses her expertise to ensure clinical Barre is the perfect exercise medium for all ages and abilities
What is Barre?
Barre is a safe, evidence based, full‑body conditioning method that blends Ballet and Pilates principals with evidence‑based rehabilitation principles.
What Makes Clinical Barre Different?
Traditional Barre draws inspiration from Ballet, Pilates, and strength training. Clinical Barre utilises all the above and combines this with Physiotherapy expertise so that all movement can be adapted for injuries or conditions such as rheumatological and neurological conditions. Barre is also perfect if you are looking to manage chronic pain and for those looking to enjoy a low‑impact but highly effective workout.
Benefits of Clinical Barre
✅Strengthens deep stabilising muscles
Barre targets the muscles that support your spine, hips, and pelvis as well as challenging your upper body
✅ Improves posture and alignment
With a physiotherapist’s eye on your form, you learn to move your body correctly and with increased awareness
✅ Enhances balance and coordination
The blend of static holds, controlled movements, and balance work trains your nervous system and muscles
✅ Low impact
Perfect for people who want intensity without joint strain.
✅ Boosts mobility and flexibility
Barre’s ballet‑inspired flow helps lengthen tight muscles and improve range of motion.
